Narin is a wonderful instructor in every
way; even her voice is soothing to me. She knows exactly what to say to help each student align their bodies properly and her guidance throughout a class is masterful. I came to yoga a few years ago to help alleviate some chronic pain issues. Narin’s sensitivity to each student’s particular issues is always evident. I often come to class in
some degree of pain and leave with that discomfort either completely gone or greatly diminished. Thank you, Narin.”

It has been my great pleasure to attend Narin’s class for the past three years. The class is always calming and centering. Narin has a gift for knowing when her students are pushing too far, and helping them make necessary adjustments, and likewise for knowing when to encourage us to challenge ourselves. I’ve been doing yoga for more than 15 years and can honestly say she’s the best instructor I’ve ever had.”

Narin embodies all of the major principles of yoga, which makes her not only an excellent and experienced yogi, but a gentle, loving, kind, and nurturing yoga instructor. The incredible love she has for her community is evident, and she serves her students as if they were part of her own family—this shows very clearly through the way she greets students when they come into her studio and during her instruction in class. Narin follows a style of yoga that always tailors poses based on individual circumstances (e.g., pregnancy, other medical conditions), never pushes, and always respects the limitations of the body and mind of her students on any given day. I always leave her class feeling relaxed, grounded, and in alignment—which limits any joint and muscle aches and pains I might be experiencing at the time. I’m so glad to have taken your classes for so many years, Narin! You are so cherished in this community.

Just thinking about being in class with Narin is calming, grounding, and nurturing for me; actually being in class is even better. Her voice, the pace of the class, her attentiveness to each student, her ability to sense what the class needs and her flexibility to make shifts in her plans to accommodate those needs are some of the reasons I love and value Narin and her classes. She is very generous with her time, her expertise, and her heart. Narin also offers a wonderful weekend retreat in north Georgia. I always feel better physically, emotionally, and spiritually after Narin’s class and that feeling increases exponentially at her retreat. Thank you for sharing yourself so deeply with all of us, Narin!

Not to be missed are her restorative classes, which are absolutely heavenly and often incorporate props, eye pillows, aromatherapy, and delicious adjustments. Aaaah.

I won a yoga class for me and my friends and I found it to be a very relaxing experience that I felt I really needed. Since I’m a student I’m sitting a lot and in a loud environment and this class helped me take my mind away from the stresses of school for a class. I would definitely recommend Narin’s yoga studio for all different people.

Narin’s classes always leave me feeling great. Her gentle approach in her restorative classes stretch out the stiffness and soreness of tired muscles, and the atmosphere is always supportive and relaxing. The fellow students and the tone of the class are perfect to make you want to do your best, but not hurt yourself or compete with the people around you. Wonderful class for connecting to yourself and the people around you.

For nearly a year, my husband and I have been knee-deep in COVID-19 response work. This has called for numerous sacrifices, including having to work countless nights and weekends—well after our kids had gone to bed. We have both navigated many obstacles related to our work—unchartered waters during an unprecedented time in our nation. Through our feelings of frustration, disappointment, and comradery with our public health family, my yoga practice has been my saving grace.
With two young toddlers in tow, I have found it difficult over the last few years to make time to attend in-person yoga classes. I have, instead, focused on expanding my at-home practice, knowing that even squeezing in just a few minutes would benefit my sleep patterns and general well-being, and keep me focused on what is most important in my life. Since the start of the pandemic, I have relied even more on my yoga practice to maintain some level of sanity.
For the last several years, Tend Yoga and Wellness has been a constant in my life. Since the start of the pandemic, Narin has offered virtual yoga classes through her studio to accommodate the needs of her students and to keep the yoga community safe (ahimsa). She has also offered her students to take virtual classes at their leisure—knowing that given the increased responsibilities that we are all juggling, we may not be able to make class during scheduled times. This has been a Godsend to me, particularly since the only times I have to unwind are in the late evenings and during weekend naptimes.
The quality of her classes has remained the same even while virtual. Her gentle instruction focuses on building on basic, foundational yoga asanas, while incorporating deep breathing and meditation. Narin is also always available to answer questions—I often text her with questions about how safety of various poses and what poses she recommends to focus on a specific part of my body.
Narin is kind and nurturing, and during a time of turmoil of chaos, she has continued to cultivate a loving local yoga community virtually through her classes. She truly lives what she teaches and embodies so many of the qualities that she teaches through her yoga classes.
I am so grateful for Narin and for Tend Yoga and Wellness. By maintaining my at-home practice, both on my own and through her classes, I have been able to relieve stress and anxiety and transfer my lessons learned on the mat—humility, compassion, and service to yourself and others—to other aspects of my life. I will continue to let yoga guide me in my actions, and I’m truly glad that Tend Yoga and Wellness has been a part of my journey.
